Editor, ScoreCalendar
James William
James William edits ScoreCalendar. He tracks score release dates for US licensing and admissions exams, checks each one against the organization that publishes it, and writes the site's guides.
What he does on ScoreCalendar
- Checks every release date, target date and timing rule for 20 exams against 23 official sources, including LSAC, AAMC, AICPA, NCBE, ETS, NCEES and state bar boards.
- Decides how each date is labeled: official, target, estimated or awaiting an official date.
- Marks a release as released only after the official source confirms it.
- Records every new, changed or corrected date in the update log.
- Writes and reviews every guide on the blog.
How he checks a date
- Find the date on the organization's own page, not a prep site or forum.
- Record the page it came from and the day it was checked.
- Show a release time only if the organization publishes one.
- Re-check more often as a release gets close, and again after it passes.
The full process is in the editorial policy.
How guides are written
Each guide answers one question about how score release works. Every factual statement comes from an official page, and those pages are listed at the end of the guide. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed, and guides are re-checked at least every six months or sooner when an organization changes its rules.
Independence
ScoreCalendar is not affiliated with any testing organization, licensing board or prep company. James William does not see or handle anyone's scores.
