How CPA Exam scores are released
- AICPA scores the exam and sends scores to NASBA, which processes them and makes them available through the score release process.
- Core section scores (AUD, FAR, REG) follow a target date tied to when AICPA receives your exam data file from Prometric.
- Discipline section scores (BAR, ISC, TCP) follow one target date for each quarterly testing window.
- NASBA says target dates are not guaranteed and that a delayed score is not a sign of a problem with your exam.
- From July 2027 to June 2028, releases move to quarterly windows while the exam changes to a new platform, with a testing pause in early July 2027.
Common questions
What time do CPA scores come out?
AICPA does not publish a release time. Scores are sent to NASBA on the target date and then posted, so the exact time varies. This site never shows an invented time for CPA scores.
Why did my CPA score not arrive on the target date?
Target dates depend on AICPA receiving your exam data by the deadline, and NASBA notes they are not guaranteed. A later score is not a sign of a problem with your exam. If it is well past the date, contact NASBA or your state board.
What changes in July 2027?
The CPA Exam moves to a new testing platform. AICPA pauses testing in early July 2027 and releases scores quarterly from July 2027 to June 2028 while it recalibrates exam items using data from the new platform.
