How CMA results are released
- CMA exam results are released approximately six weeks after the end of the month in which you took the test.
- IMA emails you when your grades are available, and the results are added to your IMA transcript.
- The exam is given in three testing windows each year: January/February, May/June and September/October.
- If you do not pass a part, Prometric emails a performance report, usually about 14 days after your results are posted. It rates each multiple-choice topic as satisfactory, marginal or unsatisfactory and shows your overall essay performance.
Common questions
How long do CMA results take?
About six weeks, counted from the end of the month you tested, not from your test day. A test on May 3 and one on May 28 are both counted from May 31.
Does IMA publish a CMA results date?
No. It gives the six week rule and emails you when results are ready, so any exact date is an estimate.
When do I get my CMA performance report?
Only if you do not pass a part. Prometric emails it about 14 days after your results are posted.
