AP scores: the July release and what to do if yours is missing

AP scores come out once a year, in July. The exact 2027 date arrives in spring 2027, and some scores take longer than others.

Short answer

AP scores come out in July. College Board says the 2027 score access schedule will be available in spring 2027, so there is no official 2027 date yet. Scores appear in your College Board account, and College Board emails you when a score is added.

When AP scores come out

The 2027 AP Exams are given over two weeks in May: May 3 to 7 and May 10 to 14, 2027. College Board says most scores are available in July, and that some take longer because of later testing dates or other circumstances.

College Board publishes the exact score access schedule each spring. The AP scores page shows the 2027 release as awaiting an official date and will show the date as soon as College Board publishes it.

How to see your scores

  1. Sign in to your College Board account.
  2. Open the AP score reporting system to see your score report.
  3. Watch your email: College Board sends one when a score is added to your report.

When colleges get them

If you named a college or university for your free score send, that school receives the scores that were available when your score report was generated. A score added later, for example from a late exam, is not part of that first report.

If a score is missing

Because some scores take longer, one missing score while others have arrived is not unusual. College Board asks students to contact AP Services if scores have not arrived by August 15.
