Before Oct 28: what has to be in place
LSAC releases a score only with an approved LSAT Argumentative Writing sample on file and no holds on your account. For this administration, the writing section opens on September 29, 2026. LSAC advises allowing up to three weeks for processing, so a sample completed after October 7, 2026 may still be processing on release day. The score holds guide covers holds and first-time test takers.
